Craving a traditional Belgian Liege waffle but can’t go to Belgium? Living in Canada, getting to Belgium isn’t exactly the easier. So I found a way to make the best Belgian Liege waffles at home!
Europe
I was pleasantly surprised with a day in Glasgow from Edinburgh. I’ll admit, I had pretty low expectations for a day trip to Glasgow.
In fall 2019 my partner and I embarked on the biggest trip of our life. We left Montreal behind to live in four different European countries. Here’s my long term travel guide to how we slow traveled across Europe for four month!
Here’s how we spent our three days in Amsterdam our first time there. There is SO much to see and do in Amsterdam, but three days is surprisingly a decent amount of time to cover most of it. The city is so small and has a great public transport system to get you everywhere you need to go.
These are more unique places to eat in Amsterdam that you should check out at least once during your visit. I found these when I was there for a few days, and I would go back to in a heart beat.
The Brussels comic book walls are one of the most unique things I’ve ever seen in a city. Of course I’ve seen graffiti before, even ones commissioned by the city. But, the Brussels comic book walls are so much more than street art.
There are so many fun facts about Barcelona that I bet you’d never heard of before! I learned about most of these while I lived in the city for a month, speaking to locals and going on tours.
Barcelona in December is unbeatable, it’s the perfect destination to escape the winter. So it might not be beach weather in December, but it’s still warm and there aren’t huge crowds.
Edinburgh in October is hands down beautiful! The leaves are starting to change colour, there’s a lack of midges and tourists. But all that comes at a cost – colder weather and shorter days!
September is all around a pretty solid month to travel around Europe, and Belgium is no exception.
