We visited Budapest in one day from Vienna, so don’t worry if you only have one day to explore the city. Budapest has a lot to offer, from unlimited history, breathtaking views, and thermal baths to relax in!

During my trip to Belgium, I ate and learned so much about local food. The waffles, mussels, chocolate, beer…etc. The list was endless! To my surprise, in that list, Belgium also claims (French?)  fries as their own.

This sparked my interest, and as it turns out, there’s a huge debate with the French on who invented them. So I thought, what else has an unexpected food origin, and have even sparked a food war of their own. 

Salzburg is a perfect day trip from Vienna; it has a walkable city centre and is accessible by train. Despite it being such a small town, it’s actually famous for quite a bit.

Salzburg is where they filmed The Sound of Music and was even home to the original von Trapp family. It’s also the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (you know the very famous classical composer).

When I’m going on vacation, wether it’s for a few days, a week, or two, I always choose to travel in a carry-on suitcase. I have a few main reasons for why I do that, but it always boils down to it being less stressful. The how I pack is a bit more complicated, especially when going for longer, but it’s definitely still doable with the proper tools and tricks!
