Types of tea
You’ve most likely heard of Assam, Darjeeling, and Ceylon black tea. But, there are many other varieties of black tea, even from the same tea producing country that are worth discovering.
Japan produces some of the sweetest and, in my opinion, some of the best green tea in the world. Japan doesn’t just produce one type, but up to 20 different types of Japanese green tea.
Matcha and green tea come from the same plant, but are actually quite different from each other. From the cultivation of the ways, to how you prepare them, there’s hardly any overlap!
All tea comes from one plant: Camellia Sinensis? It’s a shrub or small tree that grows in China, India, East Asia, and Sri Lanka (Ceylon teas). You use the leaves and leaf buds to make the tea (or even the stems and twigs for twig tea!).
