Saratoga Springs New York is a small city but there are surprisingly a few locations you might want to stay in.
I’ve divided the downtown Saratoga Springs hotels even further into three sections based on their locations – near Broadway Street, Saratoga Spa State Park, and (of course) the Saratoga Springs Race Course.
Depending on your budget, and what you’re looking to do in Saratoga Springs, I’ve found the best Saratoga Springs hotels in each area.

Downtown Saratoga Springs Hotels (Near Broadway)
There’s no denying that downtown Saratoga Springs is one of the best places to stay in the city.
These next downtown Saratoga Springs hotels are either on Broadways Street (the main street in Saratoga Springs) or within walking distance to it.
You’ll want to stay in one of these Saratoga Springs hotels if you’re interested in shopping, and the local restaurant and cafe scene.
I loved staying in this area because we didn’t need to use our car too much. We were always able to walk for coffee and dinner!
1. Hampton Inn Saratoga Springs (Pet Friendly Hotel Saratoga Springs)
Breakfast included, a stellar location, pet friendly and all at a very reasonable price! What more could you ask for at a hotel!?
This is where we stayed in Saratoga Springs.
Although it had everything we needed, the bathrooms could have used an updated.
Keep in mind, parking costs extra.
You can even book a room with a balcony if you wanted!
2. Best Hotel In Saratoga Springs: Adelphi Hotel
The Adelphi Hotel is THE place to stay at (and if you can afford it, might just be the best hotel in Saratoga Springs!)
This is the ultimate luxurious and historical hotel in Saratoga Springs.
Located ON Broadway Street, you can’t get a better location than this!
They are also a pet friendly hotel in Saratoga Springs.

3. The Inn At Saratoga
A bit further down Broadway Street, just past Congress Park is the Inn at Saratoga. It’s a beautiful Victorian hotel.
You’ll seriously feel like you’ve been transported back in time!
My favourite part though? They offer free bikes with your stay so you can bike all around Saratoga Springs!
4. Embassy Suites Pet Friendly Saratoga Springs Hotels
Just a block away from Broadway street is the Embassy Suites Saratoga Springs. If you’re looking a pet friendly Saratoga Springs hotel with larger rooms, this is for you!
Every suite features a kitchen and dining area, some even have a completely separate bedroom!
It’s the best hotel in Saratoga Springs for families or longer stays!

5. Batcheller Mansion Inn
You can stay in one of the most epic buildings in Saratoga Springs if you book a room at the Batcheller Mansion Inn.
You’re across the street from Congress Park and a few minutes walk from the action of Broadway Street.
Each room is also uniquely decorated for a one of a kind stay!
Saratoga Springs Hotels Near The Saratoga Spa State Park
Saratoga Spa State Park is about a 30 minute walk to Broadway Street in the city centre.
Needless to say, if you stay in one of these Saratoga Springs hotels, you’ll need to have a car.
These are the perfect Saratoga Springs hotels if you’re interested in a relaxing weekend getaway. You’re in the Spa State Park after all, so you’ should’ll be surrounded by grass and green trees instead of city buildings.

6. Gideon Putnam Resort & Spa
The Gideon Putnam Resort and Spa is the full package in Saratoga Spa State Park.
If you’re interested in an outdoors and spa vacation this might be the location for you.
Gideon Putnam Resort & Spa is near the golf course, walking trails, and has a spa in the hotel to relax in after spending a day outside!
There’s also a restaurant at the hotel – so you never have to leave the park!
You can request to bring your pet!
7. Homewood Suites Saratoga Springs By Hitlon
If you’re okay staying across the street from Saratoga Spa State Park, the Homewood Suites is an unbeatable hotel.
Again, this hotel is the perfect fit for families or for longer stays. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen and a dining area.
Some rooms even have a completely separate bedroom.
But, what sets the Homewood Suites a part is the fire pit and basketball court open to all guests during their stay.
Did I mention that breakfast is also included!?
Saratoga Springs Hotels Near The Race Course
The last location you might want to consider staying in Saratoga Springs is near the race course. This is one of the top things that Saratoga Springs is known for after all.
If you’re going to a race (or two) or interested in the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, you might want to stay in one of the following hotels.
The race track is in between the Saratoga Spa State Park and the main section of Broadway Street.
The race track is about a 15 minute walk to Congress Park and 25 minutes to Broadway. So you’ll most likely need a car if you stay in any of these hotels.

8. Saratoga Dreams Bed and Breakfast
If close to the race track is what you want, then that’s what you’ll get with a stay at the Saratoga Dreams Bed and Breakfast.
You can’t get closer than this!
It’s right next to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame and across the street from the tracks.
The hotel is on the pricier side (see current rates on their site here), but you get a lot of value with huge and unique rooms to stay in.
One room even comes with a private sun room... If I stayed there, I don’t think I’d ever want to leave!
9. The Springwater Bed and Breakfast
The Springwater Bed and Breakfast is off of the main street, so it might be a quieter option near the race track.
It’s also a more modern bed and breakfast in Saratoga Springs with newly updated rooms.
They have A LOT of room options based on your needs and budget.
Some suites are like mini apartments inside a house! They have a room that comes fully equipped with a kitchen and can sleep up to 6 guests!

These next two Saratoga Springs hotels aren’t as close to any of the attractions but are still worth mentioning as they might just be what you were looking for!
10. Saratoga Casino Hotel
If you’re visiting Saratoga Springs for the casino, you can stay at the Saratoga Casino Hotel.
With an onsite casino and restaurant you never have to leave!
11. Updated Home In The Heart of Saratoga Springs
If you’re looking for a place to bring the whole family, this updated home in the heart of Saratoga Springs sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms.
It’s still a new property so there are limited reviews.
But it comes with an entire backyard and terrace to enjoy!
