Small Travel Gifts Under $10
If you’re looking for small travel gifts these are all under $10. Just because they’re small and inexpensive, doesn’t mean they aren’t extremely useful!
These small travel gifts can also make great additions to some of the other travel gift ideas on the list, or even as stocking stuffers.
1. Editable & Printable Travel Journal
If your traveller likes writing down a detailed log of their trip, this is the perfect small travel gift that goes a long way!
This travel journal has space to write down everything they want about their trip to never forget a favourite moment.
They can print it or use it digitally on their phone, tablet, or computer so they can use it wherever they are!
2. Editable & Printable Travel Planner
Every traveller needs a place to plan their next adventure. I made this digital download based on what I wanted in a travel planner.
It has space to do your initial research on hotels, flights, attractions, and more! Then you can get into the nitty gritty and plan each day. On top of that, there’s even a countdown calendar!
They can use it digitally on their phone, tablet, or computer. But you can also print it out for them and turn it into a nice book!

3. Waterproof Passport Holder
Ever since my passport was damaged from a leaking water bottle in my bag (and almost not being able to make it back into Canada), I always put my passport in a waterproof bag (like this one on Amazon).
They’re not expensive, but they can save you a huge headache.
It’s also not just useful for passports, but any essential travel documents that can get wet – visas, traveller’s cheques…etc.
You can get more elaborate passport covers, but I find this does the trick for me!
Useful Travel Gifts From $10-$30
4. Quality Luggage Tags
Every frequent flyer needs a quality luggage tag (and multiple of them!).
The Teskyer Luggage from Amazon is a quality travel gift.
They’re made of leather with a flap cover to protect their personal information while they’re on the go!
5. Adorable Travel Laundry Bags
There’s no denying that dirty laundry is inevitable while travelling.
A small travel gift idea is to get them a cute travel laundry bag (like this one on Amazon).
Make dirty laundry fun on the go!
6. Travel Plug Adapters
Depending on where they’re travelling, they may or may not need a travel plug adapter. I personally don’t like the all in one adapters (like this one on Amazon) as they’re quite bulky and how often are you travelling to Australia, Asia, UK, AND Europe all in the same trip…
Instead, I like the individual power adapters for the specific country (like this one for the EU).
They’re smaller and cheaper (so you can buy more than one… which everyone always needs more than one anyway!).
7. A Quality Sleeping Mask
If the traveler in your life is going on a long haul flight, car or train ride, a sleeping mask might just be the perfect gift.
A sleeping mask on an overnight journey can go a long way for their sleep.
Shutting out all light giving them the best chance at sleeping! This way they will be better rested when they arrive at their final destination.
Plus this one from Amazon comes with a convenient travel pouch to store in when they aren’t using it!
Gifts To Travellers From $31 – $50
8. Packing Cubes
Every traveller needs packing cubes. It’s the only way to pack. If they don’t use them already, they will be forever thankful!
If they already use them, they might also need more or some new ones. I know I can always use new (and more!) packing cubes!
My hands down favourite packing cubes are these from the MEC. They come in three different sizes and I’ve had mine for YEARS!
I also have some Eagle Creek packing cubes in my repertoire, although now they’ve updated them to be compression cubes, see them on Amazon.
So why are packing cubes so great? Well, they make packing (and unpacking) easier because they keep your suitcase more organized. But, the secret benefit is that also they let you pack more!
9. Multipurpose Zipper Pouches
Zippered pouches are the best thing I own for travel, seriously! And you can also never have too many of them!
These multipurpose zipper pouches (like these on Amazon) are extremely useful for packing and organizing beforehand and while you’re travelling for extra storage.
I use them for everything from packing wires and pencils, to toiletries (they’re waterproof!). But while on the road, they come in handy for keeping different tickets and memorabilia along the way!
10. Packable Travel Game (Price Varies!)
It’s always a good idea to bring a game on vacation. It’s the perfect night time activity, and even better way to pass the time if you’re waiting for a flight.
There are so many games that are travel friendly. See my list of favourite travel games!
11. Hanging Toiletry Bag
Upgrade their toiletry game with a hanging toiletry bag (like this one on Amazon).
But again, my favourite is actually from the MEC. This toiletery bag is a game changer for me, I swear there’s no better way to travel with your toiletries.
Hang it up on any hook in the bathroom for easily visibility and access to toiletries while travelling.
12. A Weekender Bag
Small trips are just as important as the big trips. So every traveller should have the appropriate equipment for those small trips too!
Why not gift them a quality weekender bag like this one from Amazon?
I like that one because it has a separate shoe compartment (that you can use for anything you want to keep separate, even dirty clothes!).
Travel Gift Ideas $51+
If your gift budget is over $50 you can get the traveller in your life a real show stopper gift of travel they’ll be sure to use on every upcoming trip.
13. An Actually Good Travel Pillow
There are TONS of travel pillows out there but investing in a good one a very nice gift for any traveller.
This means they can sleep well on all those long flights, train, bus or car rides.
There are a few notable companies making different types of neck pillows to fit their needs.
The ones I found with the best reviews were the Trtle Pillow Plus, Huzi Infinity Pillow, and the BCozzy neck pillows.
14. A Suitcase That Will Last: TravelPro Maxlite 5 Carryon Suitcase
Every frequent flyer needs a reliable carryon that will last. There’s no better suitcase than the Travelpro Maxlite 5 Series (p.s. read more why I love this suitcase brand.)
The short answer is that Travelpro is a reliable brand making quality suitcases for years!
15. Noise Cancelling Ear Buds
Every traveller needs earphones, whether it’s to listen to music on the road, a podcast while waiting for their train, or a movie to pass the time on a flight…
Earphones are necessary when travelling.
What’s even better? A good set of noise cancelling ear buds (like these on Amazon).
They won’t take up space in their luggage and cancel out all the unnecessary background noise.
Perfect For Any Budget: Travel Gift Cards
Give them the gift of travel with a travel gift card. There are several travel gifts cards that you can choose from.
Popular travel gift cards are for specific airlines or hotel chain. If you know what airline they like travelling with (like Air Canada), or if they prefer a specific hotel chains (like Hiltons), you can gift them any amount you’re comfortable with towards their next vacation!
